We offer classes for every level of pole & fitness! Join us for pole dancing, pole fitness, flexibility, chair & so much more. 

 

Pole Dance
Level 1

Verticality’s Pole Dance – Level 1 was designed with beginners in mind. In Level 1 you will be introduced to the most basic aspects of dancing with a pole. You will learn pole fundamentals such as the body wave, fireman spin, and many more!

All classes include a targeted dynamic warmup and cool down.

Suggested Attire:
Athletic wear such as t-shirts, tank tops, sports bras, athletic shorts, leggings

Examples of Level 1 Movements:
Fireman, tick-tock, body wave, clockwork legs, back hook, dip spin

How to I progress to Level 2?
All students may progress to Level 2 after attending one Level 1 class or equivalent.

 

Pole Dance
Level 2

Verticality’s Pole Dance – Level 2 is where you will build on and master the fundamentals learned in Level 1. As you progress through Level 2 you will be exposed to many spins, transitions, floor movements and explore climbing.

All classes include a targeted dynamic warmup and cool down.

Suggested Attire: Athletic wear such as t-shirts, tank tops, sports bras, athletic shorts, pole shorts, knee pads

Examples of Level 2 Movements:
Back Hook, Front Stag, Bracket Grip variations, pole squats, pole crunches, fan kicks, single climb, climbing sequence, pole sit, shoulder stand, etc.

Pre-requisite: Students must have taken one Pole Dance – Level 1 class or equivalent.

Pole Dance
Level 3

Verticality’s Pole Dance – Level 3 is where you will begin progressing from beginner fundamentals to intermediate level movement. You will build on basic moves and spins, to create intermediate variations and combinations. As you progress through Level 3 you will work on climbing variations, as well as beginning to invert.

All classes include a targeted dynamic warmup and cool down.

Suggested attire: Athletic wear such as t-shirts, tank tops, sports bras, pole shorts, knee pads, heels optional

Examples of Level 3 Movements:
One-handed spin variations, cradle spin, reverse chair spin, Jamilla holds, straddle ups, side climb, cross knee layback, stargazer, Gemini, basic Scorpio, etc.

Pre-requisite: Students must be able to hold a single climb, complete 4-6 unassisted pole tucks and be able to pirouette.

Pole Dance
Level 4

Verticality’s Pole Dance – Level 4 is where you’ll begin to explore the world from above the ground. You’ll be focusing on building your strength and mastering your inversions. As you progress through Level 4, you’ll work on climbing variations, complex spins and inversions.

All classes include a targeted dynamic warmup and cool down.

Suggested attire: Athletic wear such as t-shirts, tank tops, sports bras, pole shorts, knee pads, heels optional

Examples of Level 4 Movements:
Reverse grab spin, Juliet, assisted hand stands and shoulder stands, grounded caterpillar, shoulder mount tucks, handspring prep, ankle climb, leg hand variations, V Sit, ballerina, split drop, etc.

Pre-requisite: Students must be able to pull up, bracket hold, climb to the top of the pole with ease, be able to perform a single rocking diamond.

 

Pole Dance
Level 5

Verticality’s Pole Dance – Level 5 is where you’ll be learning advanced variations of familiar tricks and learning how to harness your power as you progress through advancement combinations.  As you progress through Level 5 you will continue to work on advanced variations, transitions, combinations, and more.

All classes include a targeted dynamic warmup and cool down.

Suggested attire: Athletic wear such as t-shirts, tank tops, sports bras, pole shorts, knee pads, heels optional

Pre-requisites: Students must be able to invert with control, have a strong standard climb, have a strong side climb, and be able to perform straddle ups with control.

Examples of Level 5 Movements: Chopper, Rockstar, Remi, Genie, Shoulder mount variations, Gemini climb, inverted Caterpillar, swinging climb, aerial Jamila, extended butterfly, jade, superman, Ayesha prep, etc.

Pole Cardio - Lissercize
All Levels

Come dance your way to fitness in this high-energy cardio class that uses your favorite dance partner, the pole! Work you core, tone up, and get your heart pumping while you dance to fun music.

Pole Fit
All Levels

Want to develop the strength you need to do those pole spins, climbs and inverts? Or do you just want to challenge yourself while sculpting and toning your entire body? Either way, Pole Fit is for you. This is not a pole dance class – instead we use the poles as part of our workout. We recommend taking this class along with your pole dance classes to help you build the strength, endurance and flexibility needed for the demands of pole dancing and advanced pole tricks.

Pole Flex
All Levels

Pole Flex is a class focused on improving your range of motion, active flexibility and promote joint stability. In this class you’ll work on improving various flexibility goals including splits, back bends, shoulder mobility and so much more.

 


 

 



 

 

Advanced Floorwork
Requires Instructor Approval

Interested in taking your floorwork to the next level? Advanced Floorwork is just for that! Learn new and exciting advanced floor movements.

This class requires knee pads, as well as the instructors approval.

Pre-requisite: Students must be able to get into the plow position with control and ease, and hold the position for a few counts. Students must also be able to complete a forward roll with control and ease.

Beginner Spin Pole
Levels 2 & up

Interested in learning spin pole but not sure where to start?
We've got you covered! This is an intro class, so you'll be starting with basic pole moves, spins and combos and learning how to enhance them on a spin pole!

Chair Erotica
All Levels

Take a seat! Get ready to unshackle your sensuality with a chair dance routine that will leave your body sizzling with hotness. Bring your inner diva and feel the burn working the chair with your erotic, fierce energy.

Dance Improvisation
All Levels - Dance Class

Have you ever wondered what the difference between free style and improvisation is? This class will give you tools to create an improvisational score on and off the pole. Some of these tools may be useful for your future performances but the purpose of this class is to expand your dance vocabulary while attempting to break repetitiveness in your movement. Towards the end of class, we will observe and/or participate in a score and give feedback to our peers. Dance Improvisation can be composed of non-dancers to advanced dancers, making this class welcome to all!

 

Floor Grind & Flow
All Levels

FloorWERK will teach you not only floorwork, but how to work it. You will be grinding, gliding, and learning seamless transitions for your repertoire, while enhancing your prior knowledge. 


In order to participate in this class you must have knee pads, if you do not have knee pads you will not be allowed to join the class.

Floorwork with Finesse
All Levels

Floor work with Finesse with teach you how to create and define new movements on the floor. This class aims to expand your current dance vocabulary, and teach you new movements that flow together seamlessly. Each week you’ll expand on old tricks, and learn new exciting floor work.

In order to participate in this class you must have knee pads!

Heels Only!
Levels 3 & up

In this class you will glide, slide, clack, climb and everything in between as you explore how shoes can change your movement, your mood and your attitude. You will be guided through movement on the floor and around the pole as well as experimenting with your favorite tricks all while wearing shoes!

Whether it’s a dangerously exotic pair of platform stilettos or your championship performance running shoes, bring whatever footwear is a source of great pleasure and inspiration to you.

 

Intro to Ballet
All Levels Dance Class

Have you heard the terms “ plié,” “rond de jambe,” and “tendu” used in your pole classes but struggle grasping the technique? This class will introduce you to the vocabulary associated with technique and how to utilize the proper muscle groups to achieve proper form and alignment!

Each class will consist of barre and learning how to move across the space with your developing technique. Getting to the “pointe,” Intro to Ballet is for beginners (those who have never taken ballet) to intermediate dancers (who have a few years of ballet). 

Ballet slippers are required. No pointe shoes.

 

 

Level 2 & 3: The Climb

Pole dance classes are the foundation of Verticality Pole Fitness! Classes are divided into levels, with new pole skills, transitions and floor moves introduced at each level. The focus of this class will be on the basic climb, climbing variations, and related strength skills.

Level 3: The Invert

Pole dance classes are the foundation of Verticality Pole Fitness! Classes are divided into levels, with new pole skills, transitions and floor moves introduced at each level. The focus of this class will be on the basic inversion, and related strength skills.

Liquid Motion
All Levels

Liquid Motion® will teach to you how to define your own movements in ways that you could never imagine. Liquid Motion® is a methodology that can apply to any aspect of life, from everyday movement to technical dance vocabulary. This program teaches how to achieve seamless and natural movement quality by applying basic dance theory and sensual movement exploration. Through self-confidence, knowledge of techniques and power of individuality, you will have the tools to further your education and exploration on your own. Liquid Motion® aims to help our students grow on a daily basis, not just in a class.

 

Pole Choreography
Levels 2 & up

Do you love pole? Love pole routines? This class is for you. Learn choreographed pole routines and explore the elements of a pole dance so you can start creating your own choreography.

This class is open to Level 2 students and above, and modifications will be given based on student level.

 

 

Pole for Your Soul
Levels 2 & up

"Dance is the hidden language of the soul" - Martha Graham

Let your soul speak as you move with the pole. In this class you will learn choreography to express all the things your soul has to say. 

 

Spin Pole
Levels 3 & up

Join us on your spin pole journey! You'll be learning not only spins and combos, but learning how to enhance them on a spin pole! We'll be taking some of your favorite moves as well as introducing new ones all on spin pole.

 

Twerk Class
All Levels

A** A** A**

In Amber's Twerk class you'll be doing all things related to twerking! Twerk class will have you twerking in the splits, on the wall, in the hall, with a ball, and at the mall!

All booties are welcome! Big booties, little booties, no booties, h*e booties, Amber will teach all booties how to twerk it and work it!

Vertical Flow  
Levels 3 & up

This session will focus on transitional movement around the pole incorporating spins, twists, pirouettes, rolls, and more. Furthermore, it will guide you to channel movement into basic inversions, leg hangs, and climbs with sensuality and grace.

Pack the goodies: knee pads & legwarmers. Heels are optional.

 

 

 
 

Pole Labs

Pole Labs are 90 Minute Sessions whether it's floor work or advanced pole you'll love these 90 minute intensives.
